Forest Guided Tours offers unique and specially fashioned Guided Walks and Tours into Knysna’s lush, emerald Forests – bringing to light the wonders of the Forest’s Flora,Fauna,Legend and Lore.
We offer a variety of routes to select from, according to your preferred pace(mild to moderate) and special interests, ranging from The Histories and Mysteries of the Forest:from Khoisan to Early Explorers to Woodcutters and Goldmines of Millwood,Rheenendal.
The Forest World of Dalene Matthee: walk in this great South African author’s footsteps and experience the forest world that inspired her four famous Forest Novels.
The Wonders of the Forests Flora and Fauna: Tree Orchids and Towering Yellowwoods, Ferns and Fungi, the Forest’s elusive Elephants, spectacular bird life and the amazing interplay of Forest life.

Operation Hours:
Tours run throughout the day with the first tour of the day at 8:30am and the last tour of the day being 3:30pm. The park closes at 6pm
Visitors to the Forest:
A 2-3 Hour Guided Tour with a route of your choice to suit your preferred pace and interests
1-5 persons : R150.00 per person
6-10 persons : R125.00 per person
11-20 persons : R115.00 per person
If you would like to extend your tour, the rate is an extra R100 in total for every additional hour after 3 hours.
Full Day Tours and Forest Picnic Hampers available by arrangement
Rates exclude SANParks Entrance Fee. Wild Cards Accepted at Entrance.
School Tours,Educationals and Outings:
A 2-3 Hour Guided Tour with a route of your choice to suit the students ages and interests
10 students and less : R450.00 in total
11-24 students : R40.00 per student
25-34 students : R35.00 per student
35-50 students : R30.00 per student
Teachers, Assistants and Drivers: free of charge
R100 added to total amount for every additional hour after the first 3 hours.
Rates exclude SANParks Entrance Fee. Contact us for info on Student Rates.
